Man has long thought himself king of the beasts. Our superior intelligence and technology has allowed us to rule the world uncontested for millennia. But now, there are chilling signs that our reign could be nearing its end. It seems that the beasts are fighting back like never before. Across the globe, animal attacks on humans seem to be on the rise. Is it the result of human sprawl, animals losing their innate fear of us, or is something more sinister at hand? Could the animals be out for blood?

In this two-hour special, Animal Planet explores some of the most shocking animal attacks from around the world. Feral dogs and coyotes are on the loose in major American cities, monkeys have killed politician in India, giant pythons are on the loose in Florida, and African elephants are seeking revenge for poaching that has thinned their herds. Whether on land, in the sky, and beneath the sea, experts agree that something is changing in the animal kingdom. Are we in the midst of an animal uprising?
